While some people claim that focusing on the present is
more realistic than making a future plan, others oppose the idea and rather
believe in that moving things forward by putting more emphasis on the upcoming
days is much more valuable. Although I partially agree with the former, I
firmly support the latter in a way that it can be effective means of navigator
or roadmap in people’s lives.
To begin with, it is quite true and natural that the
present should be prioritized to lead them forward. Let’s take a good exemplary
of the third grade of a student in university. He attempts to get a high score
in not only every examinations but also insignificant quizzes all the time
hoping that he could easily get a high-paying job in a major city in the end
with the good academic achievements. Therefore, he only consumes a considerable
time to solve questions in a test booklet, and figure out why his answers were
wrong to correct himself. This only results in short-sighted perspective with
no meaningful benefit for his future.
Of course, being graded with high marks might be helpful
for him to get a better job after he successfully finishes his course. However,
there are paramount important factors named a navigator and a roadmap. Here,
what I would like to clearly mention is that taking the present time into
account with long-sighted view will allow people to accomplish objectives much
easily and quickly. This implies that placing emphasis on the moment is not the
only answer. In order for a potential job seeker to gain a job, it is highly
recommended that comprehending what he likes/dislikes, what he can/can’t do as
well as his personality and aptitude is should be more considered, not limited
to struggling with the moment.
As addressed above, looking at the present can be
important to cope with problems or difficulties right in front but in my
perspective, understanding what his aim is, planning well-organized strategy to
better realize dream will definitely be an effective navigator and roadmap to
reach their goal. |
