Your Answer ▼ It is absolutely clear that there is a phenomenon that is called 'child obesity' in some developed countries and they should face it directly and passionately to save their children. First of all, child obesity in developed countries has a big difference in the origin and possible remedies according to the economic status of the family. Thus, I will develop this article into two parts.
In the case of high income family child, there is a high possibility of obesity that has derived from an over nutrition. For example, it is natural that child is seeking delicious and sweet foods. Sadly, many of these foods are containing huge amount of sugars and oils that resulting obesity. And unfortunately, a child from high income family has the power to choose foods without a proper guidance. Thus, the obesity problem should be addressed by the family. Responsible adults should guide their children to eat healthy foods by informing the danger of sugary and oily foods.
However, situations in low income families are totally different. Unlike the case of high income family, the obesity comes from the lack of options to take. For instance, a child in low income family is likely to be treated with cheap fast foods for the reason that their families cannot prepare a balanced dinner table that requires time and money. And these fast foods are famous for boosting obesity for their imbalance in nutrients. Therefore, for the low income family, obesity problem should be tackled in the public space like schools. If governments are offering free meals at schools, these children be saved from the imbalanced diet at least in the schools.
