▶ Your Answer : It is debatable whether reading books is a more satisfying pastime than watching movies. This is an intriguing question because opinions concerning this issue can be different depending on the individual perspectives. In my opinion, however, I support that watching movies is a more satisfying pastime than reading books for the following reasons. The reason is that you can relieve your stress by watching movies. To be specific, watching movies allows people to feel comfortable, which makes them better manage stress, maintain health, and build a quality life. Stress is the main cause of dissatisfying life. You do not have to try to understand while watching movies. You could understand contents just by enjoying them. However, reading books needs creativity for imagining scenes since it is invisible. For example, I am always stressful due to my business tasks. In my first pastime, I read a novel to relieve my stress. At that time, I became more stressful about seeing small letters and imagining a lot of scenes. I wanted to think about nothing and feel relaxed. Since then, I began to watch movies in my leisure time. For the first time, I enjoy my leisure time and satisfied without any thoughts of other things. I could relieve my stress while watching movies. Also, there was a survey conducted by a group of psychology majors, with company staffs as respondents. The purpose of the survey was to understand the consensus view about reading books is a more satisfying method in pastime than watching movies in today's companies. The majority of respondents ranked movies over books. An overwhelming 80% responded that watching movies is more satisfying in the pastime than reading books. The reason for their preference was because reading books is more stressful than viewing movies. This survey proves that people have a more positive view of appreciating movies than reading books. In conclusion, I firmly believe that appreciating movies is more satisfying than reading books. All things considered, it is my belief that my argument regarding this topic has been precisely and effectively delivered with the reasons mentioned above. Never should we forget that this issue may have a huge impact on our future. |
