These days, it if often seen that the number of
young people is larger than that of older people in some countries. Although
there might be some negative aspects of this trend, I personally think that
merits override its demerits.
On the one hand, there are some drawbacks of
this trend. First of all, society’s rules can be weakened. Older people are
likely to have more wisdom than younger people. Thus, they have taken
responsibility to teach young people for a long time. However, when the number
of older people decreases, the roles which they have assumed can hard to be achieved.
As a results, order of society can be damaged. Secondly, it would be more
difficult to get a job as most of young people want to work as a member of
society.
On the other hand, the positive aspects of this
trend should not be ignored. One of the reasons is that society can progress
more if younger adults outweigh than the old because there would be plenty of
workers in society. Therefore, economic state of society would be more
activated. Another reason is that the country’s international competitiveness
can be acknowledged by other nations because it is evident that the country’s
possibility of development would be bigger as the number of young people
increases. To put it another way, as young adults are the symbol of the new
possibilities, countries that include a large number of young adults are more
likely to prosper.
To sum up, despite some disadvantages of this
trend, I personally believe that positive aspects outweigh its negative aspects
because young adults can have a lot of possibilities on society.
