Some people think that the main cause of the crime is the person’s nature while there are other people who think that it is an economically disadvantaged background. In my opinion, I personally believe that it is caused by a person’s background. To begin with, several people asserts that person’s nature affects their illegal behavior in the future. So it would make sense in some point of view that their thinking is different to normal people’s thinking. It is well-known fact that if some people usually have a criminal’s way of thinking, their behaviors are affected by their thinking naturally. For example, surveys of prisoners have founded that criminals who come from economically disadvantaged households are more likely to commit crime than those who live in richer households. Therefore, it is clear that people’s nature could cause their improper behaviors. On the other hand, another factor could be explained that the crucial cause is criminal’s poverty because they have to crime for their living such as eating foods and drinking some of the water so there are no choices of their crime. Some psychologists have posited that many criminals tended to commit crimes because of their hunger. Moreover, a study was conducted by the University of Texas. There are two groups of beggars. The first group was formed of people who never had any foods for a three days. In contrast, there are second group members were offered some kinds of foods on a regular basis. There was a great difference among participants. The researchers found that the first group has offended crime such as theft and robbery after the experiment. In this regard, people’s hunger from economical drawbacks can make them criminals. To sum up, these two ideas about the cause of criminals are both interesting, since there are a lot of people who did not criminals even though they had nervous and negative natures. Thus, I think that it is more logical that crimes are caused by people’s disturbed environments.
