As the gap between the poor and the rich is increasing, there are many people who need global help. In this regard, it is often argued that charity groups should help citizens from their own countries. However, the opponents say that people over the world should get help from them. In this essay, I will discuss both views and my opinion.
If charity organisations help their country’s people, it will be good especially for the donors. This is because when they donate their money or necessities to the local organisations, they can directly see how its process is being made and what difference they are making. This transparency is important because the more they trust the process, the more donation they will do.
Charity groups can also help people from many different countries. This often happens when they help a certain group or class of people. For example, Save the Children only helps the young children, and when they focus on less people like this, they can reach more people in the world. If they try to help a wider range of people, there can be more mistakes when they do their job.
In conclusion, I personally believe that charity organisations should help people in the world than those from their own countries. This is because it is the best way to help people effectively. |
