With an ever increasing concern about public transportation, the portion of the population has opined that investment of new construction of bullet train is significant for their future. The rest of the population, however, has given an counterargument that the improvement of existing transportation should be prioritized. This essay will evaluate both views, before I will give a conclusion. On the one hand, more opportunities to earn money describes why spending numerous money should be invested to establish new railroads for the express trains. Addicted to the speed of the advanced technology, the majority of people tend to prefer new high-tech services than existing services, which seems quite old but essential for our lives. In terms of economy, especially, it is likely to take some services which are provided already for granted, because it is not able to produce higher profits anymore. To survive in this fiercely competitive society by making more profits, companies have to maximize the speed of producing and delivering their products between cities, which will bring about On the other hand, more happiness for more people is the matter pertaining to this issue. Given that existence is actually another name of the necessity, the transportation system already giving benefits to the public has proven their meaning in our society. Improving the public transportation would bring about the increment of the standard of living by reducing the cost of using it and by providing high quality of the services, which would help more people satisfied with it. Under the constraint of the budgets, the way to make more people have more happiness is the optimal answer for this issue. In conclusion, it seems that constructing new express trains is more beneficial to the society at first. Nevertheless, I think improving existing public transportation is more fundamental to progress our society with less expenditure of money. |
