Living in a country where you have to speak a foreign language can cause serious social problems, as well as practical problems.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Nowadays, we are living in a globalization world. Thanks to technological advances, people can easily go to any other countries and live there. For that, some people think that living in a country where they have to use a different language can make serious problems as much as practical ones. I highly agree with this statement with some reasons below.
The most important thing when people live is easy-going communication. At least people should be able to express their thoughts and feelings via speaking it for living without discomfort.
If you can't speak what you want in a foreign language, it will be difficult to get what you want. I can surely tell that there will be many practical problems with waiters in a restaurant, cashier in a market, or even your friends.
However, serious social problems might be caused more than practical problems especially in strict countries. For example, some countries that are strict to people who illegally stay in their countries like the U.S., If you can not speak English properly when you are told about your visa statement, you will not be able to stay there longer. How about if you catch by a police officer and you cannot speak what you are and what you're doing in English? That will be a serious problem as well.
In conclusion, living in a country without speaking foreign language ability, I think that serious social problems such as a visa problem or a bad situation with police can be caused as well as practical problems such as a small problem between individuals.
