From the past to the present people were arguing about whether the
history is teaching us something or not. While people could believe that the past
history does not teach us anything or has no value today, I would argue that it
is reasonable to consider history is beneficial to us in a great way.
On the one hand, some people believe that history is just a mere
past event that is not useful in today’s world. Nowadays, all the information
and records of our data is recorded and gathered compared to the past. Thus, the history of the
past data would not be able to predict the future nor influence the current
decisions.
On the other hand, I would fully agree
with the people that history does teach us something and provides a great
insight of people’s behaviour and economy and not to make the same mistake
again. For example, the great depression, IMF and 2008 subprime financial crisis
the future can be prevented by analysing and learning the history. In addition
to this, by learning the history, we can understand our roots and each other’s
cultures, customs and languages. In my opinion, I strongly believe that
history is meaningful and valuable to us in the present and in the future.
To sum up, some could argue that
history has no value or meanings, but I strongly agree that there are more
benefits with the history than drawbacks. |
