▶ Your Answer :
Some people might think that reading fictions is better than reading books based on real events. In my opinion, however, I believe that reading books about real events is much beneficial for people for the following reason. People can have indirect experience by reading books, which enrich their knowledge.
To begin with, people can indirectly experience diverse events around the world through books. To be specific, having diverse experience is one of the most essential factors to live successful life. However, since people living at present world are already busy with their jam-packed schedule due to constant exams, tasks and obligations, people do not have enough time to experience many things of the world. Fortunately, thanks to the books that real world events are written, we can indirectly experience array of affairs as well as broaden our knowledge and horizon of the world. In a sense, it is true that fantasy novels and fictions about virtual world are more intriguing and interesting. Nevertheless, the book that will be beneficial to you will be books containing the facts happened in the present world. I will take my personal experience as an example. I have loved to read books in diverse field from when I was young. A few months ago, I had a job interview in law firm company. I prepared for the interview by studying a lot of norms and legislations of Korea. Unfortunately, what they asked me was not what I had studied about. Interviewers asked me a question about IMF. However, due to the books I read, I could response them even I have not studied and prepared my answer about IMF. I realized the importance of reading many books regarding a real world we are living in. Had it not been for the books I read, I would have not been able to answer the question and work in the law firm company. Now, I know that the indirect experiences that I had through books are one of the most valuable estates in my life.
To sum up, there is no better way than reading books about events that really happened in the world when it comes to having indirect experience that broaden our knowledge basis.
