First and foremost, the lack of conversation can give us a bad effect. Disconnection of dialogue between people is noticeable in our society. People waiting for food in restaurants looking at the smartphone without talking to each other. Some parents unconditionally give their child a smartphone to see Youtube if children are crying or upset. However, smartphones do not always show us more beneficial content than communication with neighbors. Lacking dialogue may give rise to misunderstanding each other and reduction of socialization. Kids are also victims of this situation because it is more necessary for children to learn how to make a friend instead of how to search a program on Youtube.
Second, illegal behavior happened frequently by widespread smartphone. Recently, someone exploited the young girls to get a porn video and hundreds and thousands of people are arrested by the police. The important thing is that their major equipment of criminal was social network services(SNS). By using SNS, they threatened the girls to upload private information and sell the video to others. Prevailing smartphones, people are vulnerable to being exposed to bad content. Also, private information is not secured on the Internet. Hacking and surveilling other's computers is easier than ever and especially celebrities struggle with those kinds of things.
Smartphones are obviously providing a lot of advantages to the human being. We can easily buy something, access to recent news, and find a route by clicking smartphone by just one time. On the other hand, unprecedented problems like disconnection between people and digital surveillance can cause harm to our society. We have to find a compromise between convenience and criminal for safer utilization of smartphones by suggesting a proper solution. |
