Topic: Some people think thank parents should set strict rules for their children if they want them to succeed in life.
Others think that strict rules are not necessary for children to obtain. Which do you think is better?
▶ Your Answer : It is the animating issue for parents to raise their kids successfully. Some parents let their children be free believing that freedom is of significance for rearing children. However, others think that children should be raised with rigid rules when it comes to success. I am on the same page with those. First, children have much effort in their work when they have firm rules. Second, they can maintain their life better with such rules.
First and foremost, children who have strict parents try to make better performance. Children are easily distracted from doing household chores and homework. These days most children have smartphones which is so addictive, it is hard for children to stop using themselves. Parents can enforce children to stop using smartphones and it will enhance their concentration on studying or working. A study done by the Children Development Center in South Korea, researchers found that children of parents who set firm rules get higher scores on average than other children. This is because the rule made them to focus on studying so they study harder than those not have any rules. On top of that, children who have strict rules maintain their life better when they grow up. By setting rigid rules, they can grow up with a sense of diligent attitude to their work. It can make a habit to concentrate on something. Let me bring up my personal story as an example. When I was a kid, my parents set some firm rules for me. Whenever I wanted to eat some snacks, I should have finished my household chores. Moreover, I could enjoy whatever activities were happening after school only after finishing my homework. I became diligent because I’ve been through this time with rigid rules. Fortunately, I got a job because the company liked my work ethic. I could make my dream come true thanks to these rules. If it were not for parent’s rules, I would not have been so successful in my career. Although there are many ways to rear kids, I prefer setting rigid rules for children. Making strict rules for children can not only make children focused on their duty but also learn how to manage their life. In this regard, I believe that firm rules are the sine qua non for raising children.
