People with high paying jobs are more successful in their lives than workers with lower income.
An astonishing study released by the
prestigious Oxford University claims that citizens under a monthly 3000-dollar
payment felt “more successful” than that of their upper class. Head Professor
Kershaw of the Economics department states, “This study is solid evidence that
the amount of money earned is not parallel to success.” Likewise, the amount of
salary one receives is quite irrelevant to one’s success or contentment about
their career. It is invalid to address that people with high-paying jobs are
the most successful for; the sense of accomplishment has greater value, while jobs
with high income are likely to create stress and futility.
Initially, the sense of accomplishment is
more important and relevant to success than the amount of payment. Success
is not always linked to the factor of money. For instance, well-payed workers
at notorious companies often feel futility because of the feeling of a wasted
life. When one pursues a job solely because of its high salary, they are most
likely devoting their capabilities to a career in which they have little
interest. Figuring out an area where one can perform with the highest level of talent
and efficiency is a far more valuable goal than chasing money. Success can only
follow if one devotes himself to a field with utmost interest and care, which
is obviously not the case for the majority of well-payed jobs.
More
importantly, high paying jobs often create stress and futility that deteriorate
the state of one’s health and mind. Careers that promise a great fortune, such
as lawyers and doctors, often deal with pressing problems highly linked to the
life of an individual. There is unimaginable pressure for those who engage in
these jobs, which cannot be compensated for simply because of its high payment.
These considerably disturbing factors induce detrimental effect upon the mental
state of workers. For instance, 32 out of 100 Xiaomi employees who were severely
overworked showed symptoms of cancer and pneumonia. These destructive ailments
were caused by high levels of stress and fatigue as the corporation in question
demanded immense devotion and complete subjection to all employees. Conclusively,
health and the quality of life should always be considered the top priority for workers, even over economic benefits.
Lastly,
success cannot be measured numerically. Various people around the globe have different
perspectives about the definition of success, and limiting the scope to money is
in many ways problematic. Some value careers that allow them to spend time with
leisure, while others value the creative corporation culture which leads
employees to engage in healthy debates. While many would prefer jobs that offer
higher economic benefits, there is no guarantee that money is the first
priority for everyone. In the complex and intricate contemporary society, it is
essential to realize that the values and objectives of individuals diverge
broadly. Determining that every citizen pursues a high paying job is undoubtedly
a prejudice which undermines our current diversity of perspective.
In conclusion, it is invalid to state that
people who earn a lot of money are more successful than those who have less
income. Careers that promise high payment are often the root cause of high
stress and futility, while pursuing a job that encompasses one’s talent and interest
is more significant. For the sake of the society and our citizens, high payment
should be considered irrelevant to success.
